This Holiday season, we are focusing our fundraising efforts to support the Community Drop-In Lunches at the DTES Neighbourhood House, to offer this essential program to the community throughout the whole year of 2024.

The Essence of Community Drop-In (CDI) Program

The CDI is an essential program in the Downtown Eastside community, offering not just meals but a space of togetherness that belongs to the community. CDI welcomes our neighbours to share diverse, nutritionally dense, holistically nourishing meals and offers community members a space to gather, rest, and connect as well as low-barrier employment and leadership opportunities. Last year, this vital program proudly served 15,600 breakfasts and 9,400 lunches and operated as a welcoming space for over 200 hours.

Our Holiday Goal: Raise $18,000.00

With rapidly rising food costs affecting our community and programs, your support becomes even more significant. Each donation contributes to combatting food insecurity and injustice and upholds the right to accessible, nutritious food.

The Impact of Your Generosity

· $10 provides 5 meals

· $50 provides 25 meals

· $100 provides 50 meals

· $350 funds 1 day of CDI lunches

· $1400 funds 1 month of CDI lunches (4 days)
