If ideas of “Vancouverism” framed city building in Vancouver between 1986 to the present, what might be some of the new ideas on urban life that will lead us into Vancouver’s second century?

All ticket proceeds will go to the Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood House Food Program.

No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Seating is limited, and is available on a first come, first serve basis.

The Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood House (DTES NH) is embarking on the nomination process for available director positions for its Board of Directors.

If you wish to nominate a candidate for the 2015 DTES NH Board of Directors:

1. Interested members who have time and expertise to offer are invited to submit a letter of interest indicating their experience and areas of interest, including written consent of the nominee if not self-nominating, to: Josephine Martyn, Treasurer and Nominating Committee Chair, by 6pm on Tuesday, November 18,2014. 

2. Voting for election will occur at the next DTES NH Annual General Meeting to be held before December 31, 2014 at the Downtown Eastside Neighbourhood House 573 East Hastings Vancouver, BC.

3. Successful nominees will be notified immediately. The Committee will seek to nominate candidates so that the Board has a balanced representation from the community. The Board meets at least once each month for Directors Meetings and once a year for the Annual General Meeting. Directors also participate in at least one committee. Directors do not receive remuneration, but receive reasonable compensation for expenses incurred by them in the normal course of their duties. Qualified, diverse and visionary individuals are being sought for the following offices:

  • Treasurer
  • Director at Large
