The Beat Goes On

One Wednesday – March 26  the DTES Neighbourhood House hits the streets to offer a banana to people lining up for income assistance cheques. We call this the Banana Beat.

Many people won’t have eaten much for days.

Many people will have been in line for some time.

Last year we distributed two tons of bananas.

We need volunteers for this program and our Mobile Oats Program – Tuesday March 25.

Our next volunteer training and orientation is on SATURDAY, February 17, 2018 from 12pm – 3pm.  Snacks will be provided.  Please RSVP to Rasheed at
